I have started posting some of my doodles online on my personal website/blog. I find doodling helps me to think about what I need to do, and assists my thought processes. Sometimes if I have something playing on my mind, I will doodle it onto a piece of paper. In a way, that helps me to unclog my brain, and then I can move on and start working on a different problem.

Artist Miranda July is a brilliant lady. She creates all kinds of stuff, videos, recordings, etc.. Particularly, what stands out to me is her film Me and You and Everyone We Know, which she Directed, Wrote and starred in. A very funny and beautifully shot piece about relationships and the links between a diverse set of characters, each unique in their own way. In the film, July plays Christine, a struggling artist who also works for a taxi company for the elderly, and some of the observations of the art world are particularly amusing.

The combination of the bright colours and patterns really appeal to me. It’s quite difficult finding interesting images online, but here are a few:

As said in the previous post, I had a look at some great Fanzines today. Wow, did I find it inspiring.
For those unaware of the whole underground zine movement, I recommend a quick google search, or check out this link.
I really want to make one. I think it could be a good side project??

Tight Fit - This was my favourite that I saw today in FACT.
If you would like to buy or check out some great fanzine’s, then check out Cafe Royal.
